Our Skin Cancer Clinic doctors are all experienced and qualified General Practitioners who have undergone additional educational qualifications in Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Management.
 

 


 

Dr Richard Johns

Practice Principal
Doctor - Skin Cancer Clinic

Dr Johns is our longest serving doctor. After graduating in Queensland in 1980, he worked for several years in hospitals and various general practices before settling into fulltime practice with us in 1985. 

Richard consults primarily in our Skin Cancer Clinic and his special interest is skin cancer detection, treatment and prevention with a focus on achieving the best cosmetic results for our patients.  He is available for consultations Tuesday to Thursday.

Dr Johns is also a Fellow of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and is also a regular participant in courses and training with the College as a speaker/presenter or lecturer/tutor.

Dr Candice Beaven 

Doctor - Skin Cancer Clinic 

Dr Candice Beaven graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005 and attained her General Practice fellowship in 2010. Dr Beaven joined our practice in January 2011 with a special interest in skin cancer medicine, women’s health, antenatal/postnatal care, sexual health and travel medicine. After completing further studies and qualifications in dermoscopy, skin cancer medicine and surgery, and cosmetic medicine, Candice joined our dedicated skin cancer clinic full time in 2014. She is available for consultation on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She is an accredited doctor and member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. She is also experienced in cosmetic injectables. Candice is passionate about the prevention, detection and management of skin cancer, and assists the skin cancer college with teaching. Her additional training in skin cancer diagnosis and management has seen Candice develop into an experienced skin cancer doctor. 

She has a young family and enjoys keeping active and travelling.

Dr A H Kamal

Doctor – Skin Cancer Clinic

Dr A H Kamal or Kamal as he prefers joins our practice in January 2020.  Kamal completed his MBBS from Bangladesh and migrated to Australia in 2009.  He has been practising as a GP in regional Queensland since then.  He obtained his RACGP Fellowship in 2013 and is currently studying a Masters - Skin Cancer Medicine with the University of Queensland.  His special interest areas are chronic disease management and skin cancer care but likes the variety that general practice offers and will see patients with all ranges of problems.  Kamal will work 5 days per week between our General Practice and Skin Cancer Clinic and offers late GP appointments on Wednesday evenings.  He will also participate in our weekend roster.

He has 2 young children and his wife is also a General Practitioner.  When he is not busy looking after his children, he is usually working on one of his (never ending!) tech projects!

Dr Tiffany Litvine 

Doctor – Skin Cancer Clinic

Dr Tiffany Litvine joined our skin cancer clinic in May 2016. Dr Litvine is well travelled having lived in the US, Belgium and Ireland to name a few. She obtained her medical degree in Ireland in 2009 and has lived in Australia since 2010 when she completed her General Practice Fellowship working in a variety of city and country practices. She has a passion for skin cancer and has completed additional training in skin cancer diagnosis and management. Dr Litvine is also qualified and experienced with cosmetic injectables. She speaks fluent French. Dr Litvine consults Monday & Tuesday.

Dr Matthew O'Sullivan

Doctor - Skin Cancer Clinic

Dr O'Sullivan joined our Skin Cancer Clinic team in 2014 consulting on a part-time basis performing skin checks and procedures.  He has completed several additional training courses on skin cancer diagnosis and management.  Matthew currently consults at our skin clinic on Monday & Thursday and every 2nd Friday.
