Dr Lisa Yamada

Dr Lisa completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2020. She subsequently gained experience in a broad range of specialties including general medicine, paediatrics, emergency, and palliative care during her time at Ipswich, Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals.

Dr Lisa loves the diversity of general practice, and values the privilege of being able to walk with her patients through the ups and downs of life. As such, she enjoys all aspects of general practice including antenatal care, preventative health, and chronic disease management. She is registered to deliver care with the Mater Mothers’ Hospital to provide shared care.

Prior to medicine, Dr Lisa had a career in biomedical research. Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring the local area with her dog, or immersed in a book!
