Dr Nicholas Bourke

Doctor - General Practice

 

Dr Nicholas Bourke joined our practice in January 2011, becoming a practice principal in 2016. Nick enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has particular interest in chronic disease management, palliative care, mental health, paediatrics, skin, men's health checks and emergency medicine.  
 
After completing Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2000, he went on to study Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, both at the University of Queensland. He completed his internship, and several resident years at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, worked in the Mater Children's Emergency Department, and for four years in the Queen Elizabeth II Emergency Department
 
He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011.
 
Nick is available four days a week and late on Tuesdays. He participates in our weekend roster, out of hours on call roster, and attends both nursing home patients and home visits (both by prior arrangement only).
 
He has an educational role at the clinic in the supervision of medical students, and General Practice training Registrars.
 
He is the father of 3 young girls and is a local to Kenmore having grown up in the area. He attended Kenmore South State School and St Peters Lutheran College.
 
When away from Kenmore Clinics he enjoys remote travel and camping  with his family and the outdoors.

Dr Kerry Coakley

Doctor - General Practice

Dr Kerry Coakley has joined us as a GP Registrar. She graduated from medicine in 2015 and has worked in hospitals since training to become a GP.  Kerry enjoys all areas of General Practice with a special interest in family health, paediatrics, antenatal care, chronic disease management, and holistic and preventative medicine.

 
Kerry will consult on a part-time basis and is available Tuesday and Friday.

Dr Fabian Jaramillo

Doctor – General Practice

Dr Jaramillo or Dr Fabian as he prefers joined our practice in February, 2016. Dr Fabian obtained his medical degree in Colombia in 2004 before migrating to Australia with his wife in 2007. Since his arrival in Australia he has worked in a variety of practices throughout Queensland gaining a wealth of experience in a wide range of general practice issues. Dr Fabian is an Australian citizen, lives locally and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and offers routine appointments Wednesday, every second Friday as well as weekends.

Dr A H Kamal

Doctor – General Practice

Dr A H Kamal or Kamal as he prefers joined our practice in January 2020.  Kamal completed his MBBS from Bangladesh and migrated to Australia in 2009.  He has been practising as a GP in regional Queensland since then.  He obtained his RACGP Fellowship in 2013 and is currently studying a Masters - Skin Cancer Medicine with the University of Queensland.  His special interest areas are chronic disease management and skin cancer care but likes the variety that general practice offers and will see patients with all ranges of problems.  Kamal works 5 days per week between our General Practice and Skin Cancer Clinic and offers late GP appointments on Wednesday evenings.  He also participates in our weekend roster.

He has 2 young children and his wife is also a General Practitioner.  When he is not busy looking after his children, he is usually working on one of his (never ending!) tech projects!

Dr Tahsina Haque

Doctor - General Practice 

Dr Tahsina Haque is a fellow of Royal Australian College of General practitioners.  Prior to starting at Kenmore Clinics, she has worked in the Ipswich area.

Dr Tahsina is interested in all aspects of general practice including women’s health, paediatrics and chronic disease management. 
 
Dr Tahsina is available Monday to Thursday, every second Friday and also participates in the weekend roster.

Dr Gillian McSweeney 

Doctor – General Practice 

Dr Gillian McSweeney joined Kenmore Clinics in 2014 after gaining her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  She has an interest in women's health, children's health, travel medicie and preventative medicine.  Dr McSweeney has completed a Diploma of Child Health and provides antenatal care for Mater Mother's Hospital Shared Care maternity patients.

Dr McSweeney consults on Monday and Wednesday.

Dr Elizabeth Davies

Doctor - General Practice

 

Dr Elizabeth Davies is joining us as a GP registrar, and appreciates the opportunity to care for her patients, and to support them through the variety of health challenges seen in General Practice. She is a University of Queensland medical graduate and has also achieved a Certificate of Women’s Health, working in hospitals and general practice since graduating.  
 
Elizabeth has a particular interest in Women’s health, family planning, including implanon, and antenatal shared care with the Mater Mother’s Hospital and RBWH, as well as Mental Health and holistic and preventative health, and strives to provide high quality and empathic patient care.
 
Elizabeth consults Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, and participates in the weekend rosters. 
 
Outside of caring for her patients, Elizabeth is a wife, and mother to two boys.

Dr Johanna Sabogal

Doctor - General Practice

Dr Johanna Sabogal joined us in February 2020. She graduated from Phillips University in Marburg, Germany in 2008 before she moved to Australia.  She has trained at different hospitals and started working in General Practice in 2016.

Dr Sabogal enjoys all aspects of general practice and treating patients of every age.  She love the continuity of care, and helping patients reach their health goals.  She has a special interest in women's health and contraception, antenatal care and chronic disease management.  She is an IUD (intra-uterine device) and contraceptive implant inserted.

Dr Sabogal will consult on a part-time basis and will also participlate in our weekend roster.  Dr Sabogal consults on Monday and Tuesday.

In her time away from work she enjoys good food, gardening and going on outdoor adventures with her family.  She loves board games although is known to be a little too competitive at times!

Dr Ralph Joyce

Doctor - General Practice

Dr Joyce graduated from the University of Queensland in 1982, and obtained his FRACGP in 1991. He worked overseas in Dubai until returning to work to Kenmore Clinics from 2000 until 2010. 

He then returned to work as Group Medical Director of GMC Clinics in Dubai from 2011 until 2022, including a Practice in Aviation Medicine. He is delighted to be coming back to Brisbane to be closer to his family, now including a new grandson, and to working again on a Part Time basis (Monday and Thursday) at Kenmore Clinics.
 
He remains interested in Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Health and Fitness promotion, and will also continue to offer Aviation Medical Renewals for Pilots.
